VEGAS is waiting..

It has been very difficult to come to a decision about who to bring along on this trip.  With that in mind it has taken a long time for this whole thing to actually happen, I did not want to get my hopes up to early.  However, now that his whole process has begun to take place I am getting a little bit excited.

After a long time of talking to the Playboy Marketing Rep; Charlie Romano, we have finally finalized the details of the trip and I am glad to say everything worked out the way I originally planned.  

Seeing that I do go to school in a small town it will be quite the transition, from the middle of nowhere to VEGAS!!  This is the e-mail I received with the confirmation:

Please see the attached flight itinerary.  Please note that you are in charge of ground transportation to and from the airport.

*A 2 night stay at the Palms (1 room / double occupancy)

* 2 nights of entry to The Playboy Club for two

* One private tour of the Playboy Club with a Playmate

* Airfare for two from anywhere in the continental US

That is it for this week, LET THE COUNTDOWN TO PLAYBOY CLUB BEGIN!!

One day during spring break in Panama City Beach FLORIDA I stumbled my way into this contest. It was hosted by Got2B which is a hair product company. You had to take a picture with a model, standing-up but it was set up to look like you are in a bed laying down, at 3:19 AM. Anyway, I took a few pictures thinking it would give me a better chance to WIN.

The last picture I took I decided to do something different and completely turn away from the attractive model, which I must say was hard because I wanted to hold her haha!

Anyway, that is the picture that was chosen for the TOP 7... The contest was on FACEBOOK and all users could vote. So it took some serious marketing strategy and effort in order to win the finals as I was competing with a picture that had 3 PEOPLE working for the trip to the PLAYBOY CLUB. It was a close race even to the last hour of the contest.

WHAT IS THE PLAYBOY CLUB THO?

I don't think it matters really, I know it is going to be a good time.

You will be able to follow all the details of the trip here!  Will have pictures and videos from the weekend in Vegas!  Let me tell you how this whole thing started;

So last spring on SPRING BREAK in Panama City Beach, Florida I stumbled into this content. Originally I just saw a "interesting" looking model to go take a picture with in a bed setting and that seemed appealing at the moment. For some reason none of my friends thought it was a good idea at all, and I had to go by my self at first.  It is a good thing I decided to do so...

Anyway, after the whole picture taking ordeal had finished, the pictures were sent to me through e-mail.  I had to get people to vote through got2b's FACEBOOK site, and the top 7 pictures were voted into a final round. My picture DON'T BE SCARED was among those pictures. The FINAL was a close competition and it took some work in order to get people voting. In the end, my picture won by a few hundred votes, and the response was pretty good. In addition, being on FACEBOOK and having to literally bother anyone who was online ended up bringing up conversations with people, and I caught up with many old friends. People who were helping me share the link said the same thing, and that they kind of enjoyed helping out. After I won, I was contacted by Robert Schaeffler who is the Brand Manager at the company his e-mail to me is posted below.

CONGRATS!!! You got the most votes and will go on a trip Vegas. Amazing how many friends you got on Facebook and how many people came out to vote for you.

Please fill out the attached form and email it/fax it back to me. We need this form again for our legal team.  Megan Wee, a colleague I am working with and Playboy will contact you about the details of the trip. Do you have a friend's phone number that Playboy and Megan can reach you under? Or is it email only?  Finally, we are super excited that you will be going on this trip. Choose your travel partner wisely, it should be an amazing time. 

Can we ask you to blog about your weekend on our facebook site? It would be great if you took pictures and documented the trip for us. We will then feature it on the facebook site.  Please let us know if that's cool with you. You would just email us your blogs and pics and we would put them up on our site.

This is a trip for 2 and now I am left with the decision to find a partner who will be able to enjoy this trip with me to Las Vegas! It is definitely going to be a good time and I can't wait to confirm all the dates and get there!! I am going to make sure to bring some Magnetik with me!  In addition to bringing some Magnetik, I do need someone to come along!

As you can see I will have to take a detailed and documented summary of this whole procedure so all the information will be posted through this blog and Got2B's Facebook site!


I would like to Thank people who voted and helped get friends vote as well, throughout the process I caught up with some old friends and I actually had a really good time promoting the picture.  In addition, this blog was set up in order to provide updates so all your hard work did not go to waste!!  :)
