I am sad to say that the camera has MALFUNCTIONED after Friday night.  I am now recovering pictures from all sources!!  Should be interesting.. I no longer had a camera in Vegas!  I went to Wall - Mart to purchase a new one.  They didn't have 4 different ones that I wanted, so finally I purchased the Sony Cybershot.  When I got back to the hotel I realized I forgot to purchase the correct memory card.  FANTASTIK...

No time to wasteeeeee!!!

Arrival at the PALMS!!  

So this is the Hotel we are staying at.  These 2 buildings are connected downstairs with a lobby and casino and we stayed in the Fantasy Tower which the Playboy Club is also located in.  As soon as we arrived in our room I called down to order some room service.  4 Rum and cokes set us back about 85 dollars with the 12 dollar tip included for the room service.  Well, it took a little time to get ready and assembled to face the Playboy Club upstairs but this first night in Vegas is bound to be exciting no matter what!

Our room was very nice and we really did not get much time to be inside of the room and enjoy it`s comforts!  We did not know what to expect and by this point we had already consumed enough alcoholic beverages that this night was guaranteed to produce some quality material.

Time to polish off these RUM and COKES and hit the town of LAS VEGAS!!

Arriving to VEGAS in perfect time..

Walk into the airport, plane arrives smoothly on time as on our flight to VEGAS from CHICAGO the flight attendants were absolutely wonderful. It set us up for a great evening as it was already 9PM and we were running a little bit late.

Slots are available as soon as you get off your plane so you can lose money before you get out of the airport..

Daily Trip Summary Part 1
MINOR COMPLICATIONS...

Well the title explains it all pretty much, I had the itinerary and flight information in my e-mail for about a month, and yet I still read the departure time incorrectly..

So while I was thinking that the flight was at 1:30PM, it was actually at 11:30AM.
I was packing still at about 10:50AM when looking at the E-mail I realized the flight time mistake.

In addition, we were being told that all connecting flights from Dallas to Vegas, were sold out for the rest of the day and that we are pretty much out of luck.  We had the option to wait as stand-by passengers!!  Or pay $800 a ticket to be confirmed passengers!

NOT GOOD!!  However, some magic had to be worked on these stubborn AMERICAN AIRLINE employees, who don't seem to care much about their customers.  I don't say this because of only this one experience as well, these guys treat you like absolute garbage for how much money you are spending on their service.  Luckily this is not all of them, and you can still find some good people who understand the frustration of this whole process.  

This is the second wave of excitement as we thought we were no longer going.  That is why you see these large smiles as we wait in the airport to board the plane to VEGAS!  In addition the gate attendant for American Airlines was holding a grudge against the Vegas crew for some reason.  When she left, we approached another guy who confirmed us on the next flight.  When we were boarding, the lady and her  fellow friend who wanted to charge us 800 dollars to fly on the later routes, were astonished to see our tickets as confirmed passengers.  And as we are walking down the JET BRIDGE I heard them arguing about who confirmed us!  HAHA!  Sorry ladies..

Well, I am glad to say we made it to Vegas, I wish I could say the complications were out of the way, but you never know what is going to happen in Vegas... one thing is for sure though, is that it will stay, along with your MONEY..

Okay, well this is the first part, so this way you can get the full story!!  But as of now, all you need to know is to NEVER book a flight with AMERICAN AIRLINES... :P  jokes, but take it into consideration.  Once everything was straightened out this was said .. "What would a free trip to Vegas be, without some minor complications."  That is correct, and I had a good feeling that this would only add to the adventure up ahead!

The Voyage is coming...


göt2b and Playboy decided it was a good idea to add a Private Tour of the CLUB in Las Vegas to the prize package.  Our host for the evening will be Patrice Hollis shown here to the left.  Very Excite!  :)


The whole trip will last 2 nights and 3 days in total... Friday - Sunday.  The tour will happen on Friday night and we also have guest list access for both Saturday and Sunday to the Playboy Club in the Palms Resort.  .     


  We have less then 72 hours to capture the essence of Vegas.  Sleep will be extremely limited if not overlooked completely.  This trip is also happening just in time as the Hangover comes out on DVD, so I don't know if we will be able to compete with a feature film in the footage and pictures we take!  That is a joke of course.  


After the END of year Vegas adventure it is time to head home and see family and friends.   


Anyway I really don'y know what else to say at this point.  Exams are over and this will be a nice way to celebrate that fact.  Happy Holidays to everyone, enjoy your time, and stay tuned for the next blog coming up, which could be the ACTUAL pictures from the trip.

        After a long search for the right candidate the quest has finally finished, and Ian will be joining Zoran Kukic on this 3 DAY Nevada adventure.  After being notified about his eligibility IAN had to make sure he got some things cleared off the schedule and once that was taken care of, the process of booking the actual tickets took a couple of days.  Shortly after we were 100% confirmed for Vegas.

So, we will be staying at the PALMS resort, I don't know whether we are going to get a nice room, but I hope that is the case.  The Playboy Club is in the same building as our room so that will be very convenient as there will be not much driving around necessary.  The trip is happening late December 2009 just in time to cap off the 2009 year!

In addition, we will receiving a private tour of the PLAYBOY CLUB by an actual playboy model who is featured in the magazine and calendar.  Do you want to know who she is?  Well, you will be able to find out, NEXT WEEK, right here on this blog.  UNTIL then, I am sure you can surf the boredom away on the book of faces.  :)

It has been very difficult to come to a decision about who to bring along on this trip.  With that in mind it has taken a long time for this whole thing to actually happen, I did not want to get my hopes up to early.  However, now that his whole process has begun to take place I am getting a little bit excited.

After a long time of talking to the Playboy Marketing Rep; Charlie Romano, we have finally finalized the details of the trip and I am glad to say everything worked out the way I originally planned.  

Seeing that I do go to school in a small town it will be quite the transition, from the middle of nowhere to VEGAS!!  This is the e-mail I received with the confirmation:

One day during spring break in Panama City Beach FLORIDA I stumbled my way into this contest. It was hosted by Got2B which is a hair product company. You had to take a picture with a model, standing-up but it was set up to look like you are in a bed laying down, at 3:19 AM. Anyway, I took a few pictures thinking it would give me a better chance to WIN.

PLAYBOY CLUB - LAS VEGAS - NEVADA

The last picture I took I decided to do something different and completely turn away from the attractive model, which I must say was hard because I wanted to hold her haha!

Anyway, that is the picture that was chosen for the TOP 7... The contest was on FACEBOOK and all users could vote. So it took some serious marketing strategy and effort in order to win the finals as I was competing with a picture that had 3 PEOPLE working for the trip to the PLAYBOY CLUB. It was a close race even to the last hour of the contest.

WHAT IS THE PLAYBOY CLUB THO?

I don't think it matters really, I know it is going to be a good time.

So last spring on SPRING BREAK in Panama City Beach, Florida I stumbled into this content. Originally I just saw a "interesting" looking model to go take a picture with in a bed setting and that seemed appealing at the moment. For some reason none of my friends thought it was a good idea at all, and I had to go by my self at first.  It is a good thing I decided to do so...

Anyway, after the whole picture taking ordeal had finished, the pictures were sent to me through e-mail.  I had to get people to vote through got2b's FACEBOOK site, and the top 7 pictures were voted into a final round. My picture DON'T BE SCARED was among those pictures. The FINAL was a close competition and it took some work in order to get people voting. In the end, my picture won by a few hundred votes, and the response was pretty good. In addition, being on FACEBOOK and having to literally bother anyone who was online ended up bringing up conversations with people, and I caught up with many old friends. People who were helping me share the link said the same thing, and that they kind of enjoyed helping out. After I won, I was contacted by Robert Schaeffler who is the Brand Manager at the company his e-mail to me is posted below.

This is a trip for 2 and now I am left with the decision to find a partner who will be able to enjoy this trip with me to Las Vegas! It is definitely going to be a good time and I can't wait to confirm all the dates and get there!! I am going to make sure to bring some Magnetik with me!  In addition to bringing some Magnetik, I do need someone to come along!

As you can see I will have to take a detailed and documented summary of this whole procedure so all the information will be posted through this blog and Got2B's Facebook site!
